The companies on the public record

Two companies were named on the website, and both records are public.

  • Functional Botanics Ltd (12640240) was the company named on the site at the time it went offline. Companies House lists it as dissolved on 1 August 2023. Its filing history shows a compulsory strike-off and names no liquidator or administrator.
  • Hemp Botanics Ltd (10201941) was named on the site in 2020 and 2021. On 9 October 2026, Companies House listed it as “Active” with an active proposal to strike off, accounts overdue since 31 July 2023, and a Companies House default address as its registered office. Its filing history names no liquidator or administrator.

Companies House notes that it does not verify the information companies file. This page adds nothing to those records and does not know why the business closed.

Who runs this website now?

The domain’s new owner has no connection to the former shop, its companies or its staff. The site now publishes general information about hemp as a crop, a food and a material.

This site:

  • sells no products and takes no payments
  • holds no customer records, order history, accounts or mailing lists from the former shop
  • did not take over the shop’s business, stock, debts or obligations
  • cannot process, trace or refund old orders
  • cannot pass messages to the former operators

If you were a customer

There is no one at this address who can help with a past order, but some routes remain open. These come from Citizens Advice guidance for when a company stops trading.

  1. Check the public record. The two Companies House pages linked above show each company’s status and filings.
  2. Ask your card provider. Citizens Advice says you can ask for a chargeback on a debit or credit card payment. For credit card purchases, a Section 75 claim may apply where a single item cost more than £100 and no more than £30,000. The provider may refuse, and several years have now passed.
  3. PayPal payments. Citizens Advice notes that PayPal disputes must be opened within 180 days of payment, so this route is closed for purchases made in 2022 or earlier.
  4. Creditor claims. Citizens Advice describes registering a claim with a company’s administrator. No administrator or liquidator appears in either company’s filing history, so there is no named person to send a claim to.
  5. Court action. Citizens Advice states that a limited company that has stopped trading cannot be taken to court.

The Citizens Advice consumer service can advise on an individual case. Nothing on this page is legal advice.
